Speaking practice

The microphone is to hear them practise reading words aloud.

A short clip leaves this phone so we can score the try. We keep the score and progress, not the recording.

We do not use practice audio to train models. We do not use learner data for ads, marketing, or tracking.

Who helps score

A third-party speech helper may receive that short clip, only to return a score. Then the sound is discarded.

That helper may only use the clip to return a score. They must protect it the same way we do, then discard it.

What we keep

We keep the Adult email, the learner nickname, and practice scores and progress so learning works. We keep those while the Tutoria account exists. We do not keep the speaking clip after it is scored.

Deletion and contact

To stop new clips leaving this phone, turn the microphone off for Tutoria in iPhone Settings.

The Adult can delete the Tutoria account from the Adult account door. If that does not work, write to frederik@tutoria.ac.
